What's actually included in "managed hosting"?+−
We provision the Oracle Cloud instance, configure Plesk, install SSL via Let's Encrypt, set up daily automated backups to OCI object storage with 30-day retention, monitor uptime, apply security patches on schedule, and give you (if you want) your own Plesk login. You never deal with a server. Year one is included in your project price.
Why Oracle Cloud and not AWS or a managed WordPress host?+−
Three reasons. Oracle Cloud's free tier is genuinely strong (10 TB monthly egress, ARM compute, 200 GB block storage), so we can deliver enterprise-grade infrastructure without inflating your bill. Plesk gives you a familiar control panel on top. And we own the stack end-to-end, with no third-party host between us and a problem you call us about.
How do you handle scope changes mid-project?+−
Every project starts with a signed SOW that defines pages, features, and deliverables. New requests get a clear add-on quote before any work starts, with no ambiguity and no surprise invoices. This is the discipline that keeps fixed prices fixed.
Do you offer payment plans?+−
Yes. Most projects run 50% upfront and 50% on completion. Larger projects ($4,900+) can be split into three milestone payments. We agree the schedule during the initial consultation, before any work starts.
What is NOT included in the price?+−
Your first year of managed hosting is included. Billed separately are: domain registration, premium third-party plugin licenses (e.g. Elementor Pro, ACF Pro), and any ongoing SEO or care retainer after launch. We always itemise these during scoping, so there are no surprises.
Do you sign NDAs and standard US contracts?+−
Yes. We sign mutual NDAs at first contact when requested, and we operate under standard master service agreements with clear payment terms — typically 50% upfront and 50% on completion. All invoicing in USD.
Can you migrate my existing WordPress site to OCI?+−
Yes, and it's often a Care+ retainer entry point. Typical migration is 48 hours per site with zero downtime, including DNS cutover, SSL re-issue, performance baseline, and a 7-day verification window. Quote on request.
